QuikSlot is a scheduling tool. It does not provide driving instruction, assess driving competence, or replace the professional judgement of an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI).

3. Eligibility and Accounts

Driving instructors

To create an instructor account, you must:

Be at least 18 years old
Hold a valid Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) badge issued by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA)
Provide a valid ADI number, which will be verified against the DVSA register

Pupils

To create a pupil account, you must:

Be at least 17 years old (the minimum age for a UK provisional driving licence)
Provide accurate personal information

Account responsibilities

You are responsible for:

Keeping your login credentials secure
All activity that occurs under your account
Ensuring the information you provide is accurate and up to date
Notifying us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently.

4. Subscriptions and Payment

Free and paid tiers

QuikSlot offers both free and paid subscription tiers. Details of available plans and pricing are displayed in the app and may change from time to time.

Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe
Payment is taken at the start of each billing period
All prices are shown inclusive of UK VAT where applicable

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the app or via your Stripe billing portal
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
You will retain access to paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for
We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods

Price changes

We may change our subscription prices with 30 days' notice. We will notify you by email and/or in-app notification before any price increase takes effect. Continued use after the price change constitutes acceptance.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use QuikSlot for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to access another user's account or data
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the application or its scheduling algorithm
Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers
Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without our written permission
Use the Service to store or transmit personal data that is unrelated to driving instruction scheduling

6. Intellectual Property

8. The Scheduling Algorithm

The algorithm generates suggestions, not instructions. Driving instructors retain full professional responsibility for their own timetables
Schedule quality depends on the accuracy of the data provided. Incorrect availability, postcodes, or preferences will produce suboptimal results
The algorithm uses estimated travel times between locations. Actual travel times may vary due to traffic, weather, road works, and other factors
We continually improve the algorithm. Schedule outputs may differ between versions as improvements are made

No guarantee

We do not guarantee that the algorithm will produce a perfect schedule, place every pupil, or maximise your income. QuikSlot is a tool to assist your scheduling — it does not replace your professional judgement.

9. SMS Notifications

Where enabled, QuikSlot sends lesson reminders to pupils via SMS using Twilio. Standard message rates may apply depending on the recipient's mobile plan. Instructors are responsible for ensuring they have their pupils' consent to receive SMS reminders.

10. Availability and Support

Service availability

We aim to keep QuikSlot available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

Scheduled maintenance (we will give reasonable notice where possible)
Unplanned outages or technical issues
Circumstances beyond our reasonable control

Support is available via email at support@quikslot.com. We aim to respond to all enquiries within 2 business days.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

QuikSlot is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied
We do not accept liability for any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of income, missed lessons, or scheduling errors
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us in subscription fees during the 12 months preceding the claim
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law

Driving instructors

You acknowledge that you are a qualified professional and that scheduling decisions remain your responsibility. QuikSlot provides a tool to assist you; it does not direct or supervise your professional practice.

12. Termination

By you

You may stop using QuikSlot and delete your account at any time through the app Settings.

By us

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

You breach these Terms
You use the Service fraudulently or unlawfully
We are required to do so by law
We discontinue the Service (with reasonable notice)

Effect of termination

On termination:

Your right to use the Service ends immediately
You may request an export of your data before deletion (see our Privacy Policy)
We will delete your personal data in accordance with our data retention policy, unless we are legally required to retain certain records

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make significant changes:

We will notify you through the app or by email for material changes
